How to purchase a FASTag?
FASTags are readily available on Point-of-Sales basis, and certified financial institutions can also offer this facility to their customers. Individuals can purchase it from various e-commerce websites too.
Moreover, applicants have to provide their valid driver’s license, address proof, registration documents of their vehicle, and valid KYC documents. Upon producing valid documents, financial institutions issue a valid FASTag.
Apart from that, individuals can download MY FASTag app on their mobile phones and then submit the necessary documents online

Individuals can recharge their FASTag for cars via debit or credit cards, UPI, net banking, mobile wallet etc. They can also use a cheque for this purpose.
On the other hand, a more convenient option is to link the FASTag account with various accounts in financial institutions. Users can keep sufficient balance in the linked account, and the toll will be deducted from there.
Based on the balance users maintain in their FASTag accounts, it is divided into two types, these are –

- Accounts which have a cap of Rs.20,000 are called limited KYC FASTag accounts.
- However, accounts with an upper limit of Rs.1 lakh are known as full KYC FASTag accounts.
